Let distractions melt away

like clouds disappearing in the sky.

The  world  is  merely  mind's  own play.

It  is  better  to  light  a candle  than  to  curse  the darkness.

When murky water becomes clear

its transparency does not arise from elsewhere

But is just it's becoming free from pollution

the same goes for the purity of your mind

If a problem has a solution

then there is no need of worrying.

And if the problem has no solution

then there is no use of worrying.

 

Used  well, this  body  is  our  raft to  freedom.

Used  badly, this  body  anchors us  to samsara.

This body does the bidding of both good and evil.

Do not take lightly small misdeeds,

Believing they can do no harm

Even a tiny spark of fire

Can set alight a mountain of hay.

Words have no arrows nor swords,

 

yet they tear men's minds to pieces

    How could we practice patience

 if there were no-one who made us angry?
